About This Line
The Mattapan Trolley is a historic light rail branch extending from the Red Line's Ashmont Station through the Milton/Mattapan neighborhood. Operating with vintage 1944 PCC streetcars, it's the oldest continuously operated light rail line in the United States, providing charming local transit with nostalgic heritage appeal.
